Autumn inductions to Scottish Rugby’s Hall of Fame

Dee Bradbury OBE, the first female President of a Tier One union in the global game, became the latest inductee to Scottish Rugby’s Hall of Fame at the weekend.

Dee, from the Oban Lorne club, Scottish Rugby’s President between 2018 and 2020, will also now join the Hall of Fame nomination panel to further strengthen Scottish Rugby’s commitment to inclusion and diversity.

Dee received the sculpted cap to mark her induction from Scottish Rugby’s patron, Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal.

Dee Bradbury OBE said: “I am immensely humbled to be inducted into the Scottish Rugby Hall of Fame.

“In many ways I see this as recognition for the many rugby families who serve the game that they love, a game that gives them and their communities so much.

“I’m also delighted to join the panel as we look to continue to recognise and celebrate all those who carve new highlights in our rich and enduring heritage, whether on or off the field.”

This Autumn, Scottish Rugby inducted five women to its Hall of Fame, joining cap centurion Donna Kennedy in the list of stellar contributions to the game.

Earlier, Vicky Galbraith, Keri Holdsworth, Kim Littlejohn and Ally Ratcliffe had been welcomed as part of Scottish Rugby’s recognition for the trail-blazing pioneers who have played such a pivotal role in the development of the women’s game in Scotland and have been fine ambassadors for the game’s values.

Completing the Autumn inductions was former Scotland captain and British & Irish Lions prop Tom Smith, who was inducted at the South Africa match.
