RBS Club of the Month

1. The Club of the Month Award recognises and rewards the success of clubs participating in league and cup rugby.

2. Clubs can nominate themselves at any time, based on the following criteria:

  • Performance: 1st XV playing record and other teams’ performances.
  • Discipline: Club discipline record in that month.
  • Development: Club activity in growing and developing the game.

3. Nominations can be submitted on-line at www.scottishrugby.org

4. Completed on-line nomination forms must be submitted by the last day of the month for which they wish to be considered for award.

5. A selection panel will meet monthly to decide on the winner, with its recommendation approved by the President of Scottish Rugby.

6. The selection panel’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

7. The President or Secretary of the winning club will be informed by phone within 2 working days of the panel’s decision.

8. The winning club will receive the following prize:

  • £1,000 (presented to the club by Scottish Rugby and RBS at a photocall organised by Scottish Rugby)
  • a commemorative certificate,
  • the winning club will be automatically entered into the ‘Club of the Season’ award presented at the RBS Club Awards Dinner at the end of the season,
  • a table for 10 at the RBS Club Awards Dinner, plus up to £500 for travel expenses to this event,
  • exposure on the “Club of the Month” section of www.scottishrugby.org
  • a feature in the “Scrum Magazine” as RBS Club of the Month,
  • local PR and on-line activation promoting the winning club.

9. The winning club agree to take part in publicity in connection with this competition.

10. Information about all winning club will be available two weeks after each competition by writing to Head of Community Rugby, Scottish Rugby, BT Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh, EH12 5PJ.

11. Scottish Rugby reserves the right to alter, amend or foreclose the promotion without prior notice.

RBS Try of the Month

1. The Try of the Month Award recognises and rewards the quality of the Scottish club game.

2. Only tries scored in the RBS League Championship, RBS National Cup or RBS Reserve League, captured on film and submitted online will be considered.

3. Clubs can submit any number of tries at any time but only those submitted by the last day of the month for which they wish to be considered for award will be accepted.

4. Footage must be uploaded via the relevant section on www.scottishrugby.org and must be in one of the following formats: MPG, FLV, 3GP, AVI, MOV

5. A selection panel will meet monthly to decide on the winner, with its recommendation approved by a Professional Coach.

6. The selection panel’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

7. The winning try scorer will be informed by phone within two working days of the panel’s decision.

8. The winning try-scorer and the person who submits the try will each receive a pair of tickets to one of Scotland’s forthcoming home games. The winning try will be automatically entered into the ‘Try of the Season’ award presented at the RBS Club Awards Dinner at the end of the season.

9. The winning try-scorer/club agrees to take part in publicity in connection with this competition.

10. Information about all winning try will be available two weeks after each competition by writing to Head of Community Rugby, Scottish Rugby, BT Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh, EH12 5PJ.

RBS Volunteer of the Month

1. The Club Volunteer of the Month Award recognises and rewards the people who run Scotland’s rugby clubs.

2. Nominations detailing the reasons why the nominee(s) deserve(s) the accolade can be submitted on-line at www.scottishrugby.org

3. Clubs can nominate any number of volunteers at any time during the month but completed Nomination Forms must be submitted by the last day of the month for which they wish to be considered for award. Unsuccessful nominations can be re-submitted in future months.

4. A selection panel will meet monthly to decide on the winner, with its recommendation approved by the President of Scottish Rugby.

5. The selection panel’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

6. The winner of RBS Club Volunteer of the month will be informed by phone within 2 working days of the panel’s decision.

7. The winning volunteer will receive the following prize:

  • a commemorative certificate,
  • exposure on the “Volunteer of the Month” section of www.scottishrugby.org
  • a table for 10 at the RBS Club Awards Dinner (to recognise other volunteers within their club) and up to £500 for travel and expenses to the event,
  • local PR and on-line promotion,
  • the winning volunteer will be automatically entered into the ‘Volunteer of the Season’ award presented at the RBS Club Awards Dinner. The overall winner will receive a further £1,000 for their club.

8. The winning volunteer agrees to take part in publicity in connection with this competition.
