Graham Shiel

Graham Shiel - Skills Coach - Scotland 7sAndrew Graham Shiel is Scotland 7s’ skills coach and is responsible for video analysis. He first joined the coaching-staff in 2010 before replacing Stephen Gemmell as head coach after the Commonwealth Games in Delhi that same year, he held this position for two season.

Shiel won his first cap for Scotland in the 1991 Rugby World Cup against Ireland where he had a try-scoring debut. He went on to win 18 caps and score 19 points (3 tries and 2 conversions) for the national team.

A fully qualified stonemason, Shiel was a key figure in the Melrose side that dominated the club game through the 1990s and captained Edinburgh Reivers for a time.
