UKCC Level 2: Coaching the XV-A-Side Game

The UKCC Level 2 has been designed to provide coaches with the necessary skills knowledge and attributes to fulfil the needs of players participating in the 15-a-side game of rugby union, through a well organised, well planned and safe learner centred programme.

This course is intended to advance those coaches who may have been working with children in rugby union and now begin the transition into the 15-a-side game. It also acts as an entry to the qualification programme for those coaches who are currently coaching 15-a-side rugby, but have not been involved in coaching children rugby union.

The UKCC Level 2 has been developed by the Scottish, English and Welsh Rugby Unions and is awarded by the Scottish Qualifications Authority. The qualification is a vocationally-related qualification which sits on the Government’s National Qualifications Framework and is recognised by all three unions, in all three home countries.

Course Aims
