A late Jean-Marc Doussain penalty saw France edge Scotland 19-17 at Murrayfield Stadium this afternoon.
Read on for the as-it-happened match report.
1' PEN: Machenaud (0-3).
10' PEN: Machenaud (0-6) - Winger Huget makes a big break that ultimately earns France an early penalty in front of the posts, Machenaud slots it.
12' TRY: Hogg (5-6) - With the penalty coming, full-back Stuart Hogg chips high over the France backline, Lamont is up quick to compete in the air and Hogg follows up to touch down the loose ball. Try confirmed after Welsh TMO Gareth Simmonds deliberates on it.
13' CON: Laidlaw (7-6).
16' PEN: Machenaud (7-9) - France pick up their own kick-off and battle their way up field. Scotland's defence holds firm as Seymour puts in a big hit to stem the tide. Mach makes a break and the hosts infringe at the breakdown allowing Machenaud to add another three.
16' SUB: Beattie off, Wilson on - the back-row goes off with an ankle injury.
21' TRY: Seymour (12-9) - lovely stuff from the backs as the ball zips along the line to Matt Scott who offers a cute inside ball to the on-rushing Seymour, who cuts through on the diagonal to touch down at the corner flag. All off great lineout ball from Jim Hamilton.
22' CON: Laidlaw (14-9) - a fine touchline conversion from Laidlaw.
29' SUB: Evans on, Lamont off - the visibly frustrated winger leaves the field with a knee injury.
45' TRY: Huget (14-14) - Agony for Scotland as the hosts rush an excellent attacking opportunity earned from turnover ball on the France 22. Weir looks for the big miss pass but Huget reads it, collects it, and races 80 metres to touch down.
46' CON: Machenaud (14-16) - no mistake from the little Frenchman in front of the posts.
46' SUB Guirado and Tales on, Mach and Plisson off
51' SUB: Ford on, Lawson off - the Falcons hooker has had a good game in the loose but the ballast of Ford could make a difference against a disintegrating French scrum.
59' SUB: Flanquart and Slimani on, Maestri and Mas off
61' PEN: Weir (17-16) - an earlier miss from Laidlaw sees this long-ranger taken, and slotted, by the stand-off to recapture the lead.
66' SUB: Claassen on, Vahaamahina off
68' SUB: Fickou and Debaty on, Bastareaud and Domingo off
68' SUB: Swinson on, Hamilton off
73' Weir pushes a penalty attempt to the right of the posts.
74' SUB: Doussain - sub on, Machenaud - sub off
78' PEN: Doussain (17-19) - French pressure in the home 22 yields a penalty which the replacement scrum-half converts. Gutting for the Scots who had controlled so much of the game.
