Travelling to Murrayfield

By road

Roadworks and diversions

There are multiple roadworks and diversions in the centre of Edinburgh and the routes leading to Murrayfield.

You must allow plenty of extra time for your journey to the game. There are plenty of activities to enjoy at Murrayfield before the match, with lots of food and drink options available.

Please allow extra time if you are travelling from Haymarket as there are tram works in progress which will also cause delays. For your safety there will be pedestrian diversions in place, so please follow the instructions from the stewards and police officers who are there to assist you. There will be more detailed information available nearer the matchdays.

By rail:

Waverley (Edinburgh) or Haymarket Station
Both stations are a short bus or taxi ride from the stadium. Murrayfield is approximately 20 mins walk from Haymarket Station.

Haymarket train station
Because of the ongoing tramworks in Haymarket station, pedestrian diversons will be in place. Please follow the instructions from the stewards and police officers:

A queuing system is in place for approximately 90 minutes after the game. Customer service staff and British Transport Police will be on hand to assist.

The front door to Haymarket station will be closed and customers should access the queue from Haymarket Terrace via the car park. Any customers who require assisted travel, such as wheelchair users, should report to customer service staff at the front door.

Customers travelling to Dunblane, Bathgate or Glasgow Queen Street are asked to turn right at the car park entrance and then past Rosebury House (in the centre of the car park) and follow the instructions of ScotRail staff and the British Transport Police.
