Patience eyes Glasgow 2014

A Scottish rugby development officer could compete in next year’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Highland Rugby Club’s, Sinclair Patience, who is responsible for growing the game in the Inverness area, is a skilled shot putter, who has competed in 30 Highland Games both in Scotland and America this season.

If he were to be selected in the Team Scotland athletics squad he would follow in the footsteps of his father, George, who competed at the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh.

The club have recently won the RBS Club of the Month award for September and with the presentation having taken place this week at Canal Park, www.scottishrugby.org took the opportunity to sit down with Patience and talk about his aspirations for Glasgow 2014 and his work as a development officer in the north of Scotland.
