Johnson thanks supporters

Three Scotland players will be subject to further assessment and treatment from their club medical teams following last night’s viagogo Autumn Test against Australia at Murrayfield.

Scotland team doctor James Robson said today that Kieran Low, the London Irish back-row forward who won his first cap as a second-half substitute, had sustained a head knock, the same injury affecting his fellow Exile, Saracens centre, Duncan Taylor.

Edinburgh Rugby hooker Ross Ford suffered a calf injury in the first-half.

Meanwhile, Scotland head coach Scott Johnson today thanked the Scotland supporters for the “phenomenal” atmosphere they generated within the stadium last night.

“I thought the atmosphere in the stadium was phenomenal right from the dramatic entrance from the teams with the light show and the fireworks.

“Thanks to the supporters for all their backing over the last three weeks – they really made their presence felt last night and I know from speaking to the players how much they appreciated it.”
