Boroughmuir wing Ross Bradford, 23, claims the RBS Try of the Month award for March after finishing a great team effort.
The winning try was the first of three retail assistant Bradford, scored during his side’s 76-5 victory over GHA in the RBS National League game at Meggetland on Saturday 22 March.
He said: “I was very surprised to receive the award, in a good way of course.
“It was a well-worked team try and I was just lucky to be on the end of it to claim the score.
“We’ve been trying to play a wide and fast game this season and the try was a great example of when that style of rugby pays off.”
Boroughmuir will compete in the top division of Scottish club rugby, the Premiership, next season after finishing as runaway winners of this year’s RBS National League, claiming victory in 16 of their 18 games.
He continued: “Following our relegation last year, our goal was to shoot straight back up to the Premiership.
“I think I speak for the whole team when I say we’ve enjoyed working under Bruce [Aitchison] in his first year of coaching at the club. He’s had a real positive influence on the squad, and is a great motivator in helping us to achieve the goals we set.
“We know that the Premiership is an extremely competitive league, but we’re looking forward to taking on the new challenge and playing against the top sides in the country.”
Upon winning the accolade, Ross will be presented with two tickets to a home Scotland international game at Murrayfield, as well as a trophy as a reminder of his feat.
