Scotland under-20 will compete in the junior 6 Nations Championship and the World Rugby Junior World Championship in the 2014/2015 season.
Sean Lineen will take charge of Scotland under-20 for the 2014/15 season, assisted by John Dalziel and Iain Monaghan.
Players will participate in a number of camps throughout the season to stake their claim for selection and the opportunity, and honour, of pulling on the dark blue of Scotland to compete against other nations at age-grade level.
Scotland under-20s will kick-off their 6 Nations campaign in France on Saturday 7 February at Jean Laville Stadium, Gueugnon; Friday 13 February v Wales at Netherdale; Friday 27 February v Italy at Netherdale; Friday 13 March v England at Northern Echo Arena, Darlington; and Friday 20 March v Ireland at Netherdale. The squad will then regroup for the 2015 World Rugby Junior World Championship which will be held in Italy in June. Scotland under-20 will play five games in this tournament irrespective of their results.
Scotland’s Junior World Championship duties will commence on Tuesday 2 June against New Zealand in Parma; Saturday 6 June v Ireland in Calvisano; and Wednesday 10 June v Argentina, again, in Calvisano.
Following the pool phase, the teams will be seeded based on the position they finished in their respective groups, with fourth round match opponents allocated on this basis.
