Ben Chalmers

Ben Bryden Chalmers has represented Borders at under-16, under-17 and under-18, and Scotland under-17. The former Earlston HS pupil is currently undertaking a Rugby Performance course at Edinburgh College.

He made his Scotland under-20 debut in the starting XV against the Irish, in the opening 6 Nations match of 2014 in Athlone and continued in the the Netherdale match against England, where he scored his first international points through an early penalty.

His dad is former British & Irish Lion and 60-capped Scotland stand-off Craig and his aunt, Paula Chalmers, won 75 caps for Scotland Women.
