Glen Young

Glen John Young has represented Borders at under-17 and under-18, and Newcastle Falcons under-18 with whom he now has a pro contract.

He made his international debut in the starting XV for Scotland under-20 against Ireland in January 2014.

The former pupil of Jedburgh GS and player with Jed-Forest, he has completed the first year of an apprenticeship in mechancial engineering, through Jewel & Esk College.

His cousins are Scotland 7s twins Lewis and Gregor Young, and his dad, Doug, was a well-known heavyweight boxer during the 1980s, winning the ABA championship, a Commonwealth Games silver medal and place in the GB team at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics.
