Louise McMillan

Louise Iona Matheson McMillan won her first Scotland Women 7s cap in the second leg of the Rugby Europe Women’s Sevens Trophy in July 2016.

A few months later, she won her first full Scotland Women cap in the Rugby World Cup qualifiers against Spain in November 2016.

Currently studying law at the University of Glasgow while also training in the BT Sport Scottish Rugby Academy, McMillan went on to start in every 2017 Six Nations match in the back-row. Her sister Siobhan was also training with the squad during the Championship.

McMillan represented Scotland U19 7s in 2013 and both sisters were involved in the Scotland Women U20 squad in 2014/15.

The former pupil of Gryffe High School started her rugby days at Birkmyre RFC and is now the captain of Hillhead Jordanhill, who lifted the Sarah Beaney Cup in 2017.
