Rachel McLachlan

Rachel McLachlan was first picked for the Scotland Women 7s squad to play in the opening tournament of the Rugby Europe Grand Prix Series 2018.

McLachlan went to Boroughmuir High School and first started playing rugby in 2017 while studying Physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian University. She is vice-captain of the university rugby team and plays for West of Scotland.

She went on to be selected to train with Scotland Women Performance Development Programme in 2017/18.

Outside of rugby, Rachel was the 2015 U18 and U21 Scottish judo champion and won both the 2015 and 2017 School Games judo competitions.
