Lindsey Smith

Lindsey Elizabeth Smith has played for Scotland at under-18 and under-19 as well as pathway, development, academy and A levels. A former pupil of Charleston Academy (Inverness), she studied sports development at University of West of Scotland and is now a rugby development officer.

She took up the sport after a new PE teacher - Miss Lamond - arrived at her school and introduced after-school rugby for the girls.

Lindsey made her Scotland debut off the bench in the second half against Spain in the January 2011 capped friendly in Madrid. She has also been capped for Scotland Women 7s and has played alongside her sister, Sarah. With her club, Hillhead Jordanhill, she won the league and cup double in 2014.

Outside rugby, she also enjoys playing netball. Her dad and sister Sarah have played rugby, the latter at 7s and XV levels, with her sister also having sprinted for Scotland.
