Lyndsay O'Donnell

After playing tag rugby at primary school, Lyndsay Emma O'Donnell took up rugby after joining in a come-and-try session while at Alloa Academy and training with the boys at Alloa RFC until she was 15, then moved to Stirling County for a season.

She came through the under-18 pathway and was a member of the Scotland under-20 squad in season 2012/13, captaining the side to victory in February over Finland Women at Lasswade [see main image] before being called up to the Scotland Women squad and making her debut against France in Dijon in March 2013.

Lyndsay won two caps with Scotland 7s in 2013 and that year was also named University of Worcester female athlete of the year, picking up the same honour in 2014.

A graduate sports therapist from the University of Worcester, she currently plays for with Worcester Ladies where she's also turned out at full back, stand-off and on the wing, and with whom she won the English Premiership in 2013.

Her dad, Craig, played rugby for Alloa and captained the Scottish Fire Brigade team.
