Suzanne McKerlie-Hex

Born in Cresswell, Dumfries, Suzanne first started playing as centre for Morgan in September 2008, during her second year at university in Dundee. In her first season she was awarded joint young player of the year for her club and was also top try scorer. She was national league player of the year for season 2008/9, following eight player of the match nominations.

In January 2009 she was selected for the Scotland Women's academy and moved from centre to prop / front row where she played for two years. She was also top try scorer for Morgan for season 2009/10, while also playing for Kirkcaldy.

In 2010, while playing for Kirkcaldy and Murrayfield Wanderers, she was selected for the international squad and made her debut, in the back row, in the January 2011 friendly against Spain in Madrid.

Outwith rugby, she graduated from Dundee University in July 2010 with a BA (Hons) in Criminological Studies and following a period as a rehabilitation officer for the Scottish Prison Service, is currently studying for a Masters in Social Work.
