Patrick Calum MacArthur was an unused replacement for Scotland in the 2013 RBS 6 Nations Championship win against Italy, the first time he had featured in a Scotland match-day 23.He went on to make his international debut against Samoa in the quadrangular tournament in South Africa in June 2013 and made his first appearance at Murrayfield as a second-half substitute in the November 2013 Scotland win against Japan.
Pat made his debut off the bench for the Scotland A team in their 35-0 victory over England Saxons at Netherdale in 2012.
He is a product of the Ayr and West of Scotland club first XVs and in 2012/13 signed an extended contract with Glasgow Warriors that will keep him with the Scotstoun club until at least May 2016.
Pat has also played for Scotland at under-18, under-19 and under-20 levels. He made replacement appearances in two of Scotland’s under-19 internationals in 2005-2006, scoring a try against Wales at Aberavon. His first start for the national under-19 team was in the world championship match against Wales in Dubai in April 2006: he appeared in all five matches in that tournament. He was hooker in the starting XV for Scotland’s under-20 internationals against all our six nations opponents in 2007.
A former pupil of Prestwick Academy, Pat first signed a Glasgow Warriors contract in June 2009.
