GO TO BOTH SCOTLAND’S HOME RBS 6 NATIONS GAMES
Following the big win against Italy in the Summer Test, Scotland's next games at BT Murrayfield are during the RBS 6 Nations Championship in the new year. This season it's France and England who are visiting – always an exciting prospect!
The first release of individual match tickets for the France game will be available to buy from 10am on Wednesday 2 September. It is possible there will be tickets available for the England game nearer the time, but at the moment the only way to guarantee a ticket is through the ever-popular RBS 6 Nations Pass. These also go on sale on Wednesday morning.
Scotland open their 2016 RBS 6 Nations Championship at BT Murrayfield against England. The Calcutta Cup match is the oldest fixture in international rugby and still the one everyone wants to see.
This will be England’s first game after hosting the Rugby World Cup in the autumn and after being runners-up in this season’s RBS 6 Nations Championship, will be aiming to go one better. However Scotland, despite losing at Twickenham this year, played well and went into half-time leading the home side after a fine Mark Bennett try. The Scotland players will be in equally determined mood to get their RBS 6 Nations championship off to a winning start. All in all, an explosive start to the championship!
It is possible there will be tickets available for this game nearer the time, but at the moment the only way to guarantee a ticket is through the RBS 6 Nations Pass.
The French come to town on the penultimate weekend of the championship (Scotland play Ireland in Dublin on the final weekend) adding spice to what is already one of the most colourful events of the year in the city!
Scotland came agonisingly close to winning the last time France came to BT Murrayfield, when a penalty from replacement scrum-half Jean-Marc Doussin with two minutes to go nudged the French into the lead after Scotland had dominated for most of the game (David Denton was named Man of the Match). Expect Edinburgh to be full of French supporters draped in the tricolour, wearing berets and singing La Marseillaise – with the occasional cockerel brought along too!
Individual match tickets will be available from 10am on Wednesday 2 September, for one week only (at this stage, only Bronze and Silver categories are available). However, secure a seat for France and England with the RBS 6 Nations Pass.
As Scottish Rugby’s Secondary Ticketing Partner, viagogo also provides supporters with a secure and guaranteed online platform on which to safely buy and sell tickets for Scotland’s home games
