2019/20 Season Cup draws unveiled

The preliminary rounds of the National League Cup and the Scottish Cup have been drawn today and see some exciting match-ups to get the respective competitions underway for season 2019/20.

In the Scottish Cup Champions Ayr travel to Dundee HSFP while a Borders derby sees Hawick play host to Melrose.

Watsonians face a long distance away match at Highland and will be joined on their travels by Marr who go to the north-east to take on Aberdeen Grammar.

Currie Chieftains will play Biggar and Musselburgh welcome Glasgow Hawks. All the ties will be played on Saturday 31 August.

Boroughmuir, Cartha Queens Park, Edinburgh Academical, Gala, GHA, Heriot’s, Jed-Forest, Kelso, Selkirk and Stirling County were drawn as byes and will join the winners from the preliminary rounds in the first round.

In the National League Cup preliminary round – to be played on Saturday 31 August – Carrick play Preston Lodge while Berwick face a trip across the country to play Ardrossan Academicals.

Gordonians out of Aberdeen travel to play Hamilton and Newton Stewart make the journey to Fife for a tie against Kirkcaldy.

Peebles play Whitecraigs and Glasgow Academicals will take on Dumfries Saints.

West of Scotland will host Lasswade and a Glasgow derby between Hillhead Jordanhill and GHK complete the round.

Caithness, Falkirk, Greenock Wanderers, Howe of Fife, Murrayfield Wanderers, Perthshire, Stewart’s Melville and Strathmore were drawn as byes and will join the winners from the preliminary round in the first round.
