Al Kellock named ambassador for 2016 Guinness PRO12 Final
PRO12 Rugby today announced former Edinburgh Rugby player, Glasgow Warriors and Scotland captain Al Kellock as an Ambassador for the 2016 Guinness PRO12 Final at BT Murrayfield, Edinburgh and the kick-off time will be 5.30pm on Saturday 28 May.Al’s two former clubs will, first off at BT Murrayfield, be going head to head in the opening leg of this year’s 1872 Scottish Cup on 27 December (k/o 3.05pm).Al Kellock is both a name and a figure that is synonymous with the growth and development of the Guinness PRO12, that is now in its fifteenth season.- – Martin Anayi, Managing Director of PRO12 RugbyAl’s illustrious playing career for both Edinburgh and Glasgow culminated in his captaincy of the victorious Glasgow Warriors team who won the 2015 Guinness PRO12 title over Munster at Belfast’s Kingspan Stadium, our first ‘destination final’ and a massive success.Edinburgh will continue this legacy and we look forward to working with Al to promote the 2016 Final at BT Murrayfield and using his wealth of experience and knowledge to help attract a record Guinness PRO12 Final crowd to Edinburgh, a favourite destination city for all rugby fans.We are delighted to have Al on board to further continue the growth of the Guinness PRO12.We can also today confirm that the Guinness PRO12 Final kick off time will be at 5.30pm, live on our broadcast partner Sky Sports and free to air broadcaster/s.
