BBC ALBA to broadcast rescheduled Women’s Six Nations matches
BBC ALBA will continue its trail-blazing coverage of Scotland’s fixtures this season, with live broadcasts of the three rescheduled 2020 Women’s Six Nations matches this autumn.
Scotland kick-off with a home match against France at Scotstoun on Sunday 25 October (kick-off 2.05pm), before travelling to face Wales the following Sunday (1 November, kick-off 4.15pm, venue TBC).
The third and final match for Bryan Easson’s side will see them travel to face Italy in Parma (Sunday 6 December, kick-off 6pm GMT). This match will double up as a repechage tie as part of the qualification process for next year’s Rugby World Cup.
Scotland fans will be able to watch all of the action live on BBC ALBA, starting with the home match against France next month.
BBC ALBA have supported Scotland Women in live coverage of their home and away fixtures since November 2018, as well showcasing the grassroots game with a live broadcast of the 2019 Sarah Beaney Cup Final at BT Murrayfield.
Head of Women and Girls’ Rugby, Gemma Fay, said: “I’m delighted that BBC ALBA will be covering the rescheduled Six Nations fixtures. We’ve enjoyed working closely with BBC ALBA over the past few years and it’s great to see their continued support in showcasing women’s rugby.”
