Bennett and Horne win esteemed awards
Mark Bennett and BT Sport Scottish Rugby Academy Stage 3 player, George Horne were recently presented with prestigious awards by the Friends of Scottish Rugby.Mark Bennett won the Young Player of the Year, being presented with the Sir Willie Purves Quaich.Previous recipients of the award include the Gray brothers, Jonny and Richie Finn Russell and David Denton.Meanwhile George Horne (brother of Peter) won the Sir Tommy Macpherson Quaich awarded annually to the best young player at London Scottish. The scrum-half has been on loan with London Scottish for most of this season, after he donned the Warriors jersey in the friendly against the Army last year.
