BT Premiership ROUND-UP Hawick keep up winning ways as winter bites
Hawick recorded their second bonus point win on the bounce to bring them within two points of their nearest rivals in the BT Premiership.
With two matches unplayed from this round thanks to the cold conditions, the table has taken on an interesting shape with the bottom three sides now only separated by three points.
Hawick backed up their performance last weekend against Stirling County with another strong showing to score five tries against Marr and take a maximum haul from their last two games.
The Borders side are now right in the mix to stay up having previously looked in dire straits following 10 consecutive league defeats.
Heriot’s got the better of Glasgow Hawks at Goldenacre after overturning a narrow half time deficit.
The win lifts the Edinburgh club into second place albeit with Currie Chieftains and Ayr with a game in hand.
Watsonians mounted an impressive comeback having trailed at the break to see off Stirling County.
County’s losing and try bonus points mean that both sides overtake Glasgow Hawks in the table.
Currie Chieftains match against Boroughmuir at Malleny Park was postponed due to an unplayable pitch while Melrose versus Ayr was also called off.
