Colin McCulloch
Scottish Rugby is saddened to learn of the death of a former recipient of its Spirit of Rugby Award, Colin McCulloch. He was 82.Colin was recognised at the Scottish Rugby Awards dinner in 2015 for his many years of service to the game in and around Edinburgh.A former officer in the Royal Scots Regiment, Colin, who stayed for many years in Longniddry, before moving to Gullane, was very proud of his East Lothian roots. On leaving the Army, he went on to work in insurance, but rugby was his great passion.A past secretary of the Edinburgh Under-18 regional league, he was a shrewd Scotland age-grade selector for many years, most recently with the Scotland under-16 set-up.Scottish Rugby extends its sincere condolences to all Colin McCulloch’s family and friends.Colin’s funeral will take place on Tuesday 8 August at 3.30pm in the Pentland Chapel at Mortonhall Crematorium, Edinburgh.
