October 16 & 17 | Tennent’s Leagues Preview
Here’s everything you need to know about what’s coming up on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 October.
It’s time for Round 7 in the men’s Tennent’s Premiership league.
We have two derby fixtures – Hawick host Jed-Forest at Mansfield Park and the Glasgow Hawks make a short journey across the city to face GHA.
Marr will look to extend their lead in the table standings as they visit Musselburgh on Saturday.
And elsewhere in the competition, Selkirk face Edinburgh Academical and Aberdeen Grammar travel to Currie Chieftans.
Turning to the men’s Tennent’s National 1 league, competition leaders Melrose go north to face Highland.
And it’s maroon versus maroon as Gala host Watsonians at Netherdale.
Just two points separate Stirling County and Dundee in the table standings, so their scheduled fixture this weekend is sure to be a well contested game.
Elsewhere in the competition, Ayr face Boroughmuir, Biggar take on Cartha Queen’s Park and Kelso host Heriot’s Blues.
All games in the Tennent’s Premiership and National 1 leagues are set to kick off at 3pm on Saturday 16 October.

There’s just one fixture this weekend in the women’s Tennent’s Premiership league, the rescheduled match between Corstorphine Cougars and Cartha Queen’s Park.
After five rounds of competition, Cougars sit firmly at the top of the table on 18 points, followed closely by Hillhead Jordanhill with 16 points and Watsonians have 13.
Two fixtures take place on Sunday in the women’s National 1 league, both rescheduled from last month due to covid-19.
Howe of Fife welcome Ayr to Duffus Park and Stewartry host Kelso.
All three games are set to kick off at 2pm on Sunday 17 October.
