Tennent’s Women’s Premiership & National Leagues Preview | 3 & 4 December

Find out all you need to know ahead of another weekend of Tennent's Women's Premiership.

This weekend’s action kicks off when current table leaders Stirling County travel to face Heriot’s Blues Women.

The two teams last met at the start of October where Stirling County showed a dominating performance over their visitors and secured a 53-17 victory. However, Heriot’s will be looking to gain an advantage on their competitors who missed out on a fixture last week.

This Saturday’s matches conclude when Watsonians host Hillhead Jordanhill.

When the two teams last met in October, there was only a five-point difference on the final whistle, with the Glasgow based outfit ultimately coming out on top. With Hill’s confidence from their previous encounter’s result and Watsonians still on a high from last week’s colossal victory, all at Myreside will be on the edge of their seats.

It’s another East v West clash on Sunday when Corstorphine RFC host Cartha Queen’s Park.

Corstorphine and Cartha last met a couple of months ago when the capital based outfit secured a 10 point advantage over their hosts (5-15). As it is the last week of regular rounds before the play-offs, Cartha will have to give it everything they’ve got to join their hosts in the play offs.

This weekend’s play begins in the west when Ayr host West of Scotland. Both teams will be hoping to bounce back after Ayr suffered a tough defeat against Stewartry a couple of weekends ago and West of Scotland were trumped by Biggar.

After claiming a massive 85-5 win over West of Scotland at the end of November, Biggar will be hoping to add even more points under their name when they host Howe of Fife.

Broughton will have to bring everything they’ve got on Sunday in front of a home crowd when they host table leaders Stewartry.
