Former President Rankin pays tribute to Sean Binnie
Scottish Rugby was represented by Past President and former Kirkcaldy Head Coach Ian Rankin at the unveiling of a bench at Kirkcaldy North Primary School today in memory of Sean Binnie.
Sean, a Sergeant in the Black Watch and passionate Scotland rugby fan, died on active service in Afghanistan in May 2009.
Today would have been Sean’s 35th birthday and Scottish Rugby supported fund-raising to erect the bench at Sean’s former primary school.
We will also be delighted to host Sean’s Mum and Dad at the Scotland v South Africa match at BT Murrayfield on Saturday.
