Injured Jones heading home from Summer Tour
Glasgow Warriors wing Lee Jones has been ruled out of the remainder of Scotland’s 2018 Summer Tour after sustaining a knee injury against Canada in Edmonton on Saturday.
Jones travelled with the squad to Houston, Texas, yesterday (Sunday) where Scotland face their next tour opponents, USA, this Saturday 16 June (kick-off 8pm, Sunday 2am UK time) – live on BBC.
Further medical assessment confirmed that he will play no further part in the tour and will return home tomorrow (Tuesday) to the care of his club’s medical team for ongoing treatment.
Edinburgh wing Dougie Fife arrives in Houston later today (Monday) as cover for the injured Jones.
Scotland will compete the 2018 Summer Test campaign against Argentina in Resistencia on Saturday 23 June (kick-off 4.40pm, 8.40pm UK time), which will be shown live on Channel 4.
