Jacko To Make First Start For Scotland

Ruaridh Jackson, the 23-year-old Glasgow Warriors stand-off, will make his first start for Scotland in Sunday’s RBS 6 Nations Championship match against Ireland at Murrayfield. In an exclusive interview with www.scottishrugby.org, Jackson, a product of Robert Gordon’s in Aberdeen, tells of his memories of travelling south to watch Scotland at Murrayfield, recalling the 2001 match against Ireland when his former Glasgow team-mate Andrew Henderson came off the bench to make his international debut marking the occasion with a try.   “I was just a wee pup back then but I’ve great memories of being in the crowd so hopefully we can give a performance that the crowd can really get behind at the weekend. “We have got a massive point to prove this weekend.  Obviously the boys were seriously disappointed after last week (against Wales).  We’re training hard and really want to put down a good performance and get the victory that we desperately need.” Listen to the full interview.
