Glasgow Hawks hosted BT Premiership newcomers Marr, the home side winning 41-28 in a hard fought and entertaining match at Scotstoun.An attritional opening half saw injuries to both sides as the ferocious hits rained in – Hawks’ Paddy Kelly leaving the pitch after only a few minutes and Marr’s Andrew Acton making way later in the half.A flurry of five first half tries had both sets of fans in good voice as the Scotstoun pitch lent itself to a fast-paced game.George Horne opened the scoring for Hawks with a penalty before the debutants muscled over the line through William Farquar to get the try-scoring up and running.
