BT Sport to show Canada v Scotland live

The second match of Scotland’s summer tour will be shown live and exclusively on BT Sport, it was confirmed today.The broadcaster, already a major partner of Scottish Rugby through its sponsorship of both Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby, will carry coverage of the match between Canada and Scotland on Saturday 14 June.The action kicks-off in Toronto at 2pm local time, which is 7pm here in the UK.Simon Green, head of BT Sport said “We’re really delighted to be showing Canada v Scotland on BT Sport. What a fantastic way to kick off our extended relationship with Scottish Rugby.”Dominic McKay, Scottish Rugby’s Director of Commercial Operations, Communications and Public Affairs, welcomed today’s announcement. He said: “We’re delighted that supporters at home will be able to watch all the action in the second match of our summer tour.”BT group confirmed last month that it has become Scottish Rugby’s biggest ever partner with a multi-million pounds deal which involves naming rights at BT Murrayfield Stadium and the backing of our national sevens squad; our domestic league and cup competitions; and our new academies structure.”It’s most encouraging that at the first available opportunity BT Sport is adding value to that relationship by bringing supporters coverage of our international in Toronto.”Canada v Scotland will be shown at 7pm on BT Sport 2 on Saturday 14 June.Scottish Rugby has already announced that fans will be able to watch the USA v Scotland game this weekend on www.dailyrecord.co.uk or www.mirror.co.uk , while the internationals against Argentina and South Africa on 20 and 28 June respectively will be shown on Sky Sports.
