Everyone’s Game – Scotland v Japan

Everyone’s Game campaign continued at the weekend with clubs and schools across the country showing their support for Scotland as they faced Japan on Sunday. Here’s what went on across the regions...

Falkirk RFC

The activities at Falkirk’s family fun day included things such as a rugby assault course for all, mini games, face painting and various competitions across an action-packed day.

After the fun and games breakfast rolls were served in the clubhouse before watching Scotland v Japan in their Rugby World Cup group decider on the big screen.

Oban Lorne RFC

Oban Lorne RFC kicked off the morning with a Tartan Touch Rugby session before heading into the clubhouse to cheer on Scotland!

The club then got behind Oban Lorne Ladies as they took to the pitch against Glasgow University. Final score Oban Lorne 46 – 12 Glasgow University.


Musselburgh RFC

Musselburgh RFC opened their clubhouse to members and the local community:

Boroughmuir Rugby Club

Boroughmuir youth players were invited to a special screening of the match by The Consul General of Japan and Mrs Yumi Takaoka at their Edinburgh residence.


Murrayfield Wanderers FC

Murrayfield Wanderers held a Tartan Touch session before watching Scotland v Japan:

Howe of Fife

Howe of Fife held a Sumo, Saki and Samurai open clubhouse to watch the game and presented competition winner Julia Baird with her signed Scotland shirt.

Howe Harlequins then welcomed Stewartry Sirens to Duffus Park for their Tennent’s National Division 1 Match. Full time score 39 – 29.

Currie Chieftains

Currie Chieftains mini section held a World Cup Touch Tournament with over 100 youth players taking part!

Dalkeith RFC

Dalkeith RFC opened their clubhouse to cheer on the team!

Annan RFC

Annan RFC opened their clubhouse to the community to cheer on Scotland in their last pool fixture.

GHA welcomed a record crowd for their World Cup #EveryonesGame breakfast!

Hamilton Rugby Club

Hamilton Rugby Club opened their clubhouse to cheer on the team.

Bannockburn RFC

Bannockburn RFC opened their clubhouse for the fixture and announced their Cow Pat Challenge winners, raising over £1600 for their club!
