Jamie Sheddon: Ayrshire Bulls

Pat said: “Jamie is a young up and coming lad from Ayrshire who has an impressive attacking ability with a physical edge.”

“Following an impressive Super6 Sprint Series, I am looking forward to seeing him develop and grow throughout a longer season.”

Corey Tait: Boroughmuir Bears

Head Coach: Graham Shiel

Graham said: “Corey featured heavily in the FOSROC Sprint Series having joined from Hawick RFC. Corey is moving into his U20 year, so for a young hooker has coped very well with his introduction to Super6 rugby. Corey has an excellent attitude and a desire to improve which is evident in all that he does.”

“He is a member of the FOSROC Regional Academy programme with the Borders and works closely with Ross Ford, so has an outstanding mentor to learn from in the position of Hooker. Although young, Corey is willing to take responsibility and he demands from others within the squad, showing a natural capacity to lead, which is something we want to try and develop.”

“The impact that Corey made at Boroughmuir Bears earlier this year was fantastic and we hope that he can continue to build on those performances, pushing himself to be a strong contender for Scotland U20 squad and realise his ambitions to progress to a FOSROC Academy Contracted position and onwards to a professional contract.”

Dan King: Heriot’s Rugby

Stuart said: “We have signed Dan this year from Currie after playing his school rugby at Stewart’s Melville College.”

“Dan is a fantastic ball player who is equally adept at stand-off or fullback. He loves to take the ball to line to distribute and kicks very well out of hand and off the tee.”

“This is an exciting year ahead for him as he pushes for international honours at U20 level.”

Aidan Cross: Southern Knights

Bruce said: “Aidan is an exciting prospect who took his chances with selection during the FOSROC Super6 Sprint Series.”

“He is a quick and powerful 20-year-old who knows his way to the try line.”

“Aidan is very keen to keep developing and has big ambitions to progress in the game.”

Gregor Hiddleston: Stirling Wolves

Ben said: “Gregor is someone who really developed with us through the FOSROC Super6 Sprint Series and through his involvement with Scotland U20s culminating in a strong summer tour with them in Italy.”

“He’s one of our most dedicated players and is someone who has the ability to have an outstanding Championship.”
