France v Scotland Charity Fan Event

15 Aug 2019

Kind-hearted Scotland supporters are doing their bit for charity at Saturday’s international match against France in Nice (17 August), as preparations step-up for Rugby World Cup.

Both Murrayfield Injured Players Foundation and the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation will benefit from proceeds from a charity raffle.

It will take place at an event that will begin at the Aribas Stadium (stade des Arboras) home of the Stade Niçois Rugby Club, which is a short walk from the Allianz stadium, venue for the international match.

Murrayfield Injured Players’ Foundation Chairman, Ian Rankin said:

“I heard from a former North & Midlands player, Angus Thomson, who set off to play a season in Australia . . . and 35 years later he’s still there.

“Angus is one of a number of passionate Scotland supporters who will be attending all four warm-up games, home and away, ahead of the team leaving for Japan.

“They always are keen to engage with all Scotland supporters wherever they watch the team play and we really appreciate the fact that they are undertaking this initiative to support MIPF and Doddie’s charity.”
