Girls set to Rock London

In preparation for their participation in the FIRA-AER Sevens 2014 Championship in Bergen, Norway on 7 and 8 June, Scotland Women 7s – playing as Scotland Select – will be taking part in Rugby Rocks at Richmond Athletic Ground in London tomorrow (31 May). Coached for the third season by former Scotland 7s captain, Scott Forrest, an extended squad have been together for two training camps. The team comprises experienced Scotland Women players, including winger Sarah Dixon and full back Steph Johnston, alongside relative newcomers to the game such as Rose Anderson, a former Olympic basketball player!The team for Bergen – where Scotland are pooled with Moldova, Croatia and Finland – will be announced on Wednesday 4 June.
