On Saturday 26 March, Edinburgh Harlequins were crowned winners of the Girls U16 Bowl for the 2021/22 season.
The Girls U16 Bowl competition for the 2021/22 season was specifically created to provide young female players the chance to join forces to create teams and provide new players with additional game time in a meaningful, development format.
Playing in the final, hosted at Forrester Rugby Club, were Edinburgh Harlequins and Annan Hornets, and the two sides were more than up for the occasion, scoring an epic 26 tries between them!
At half time just one score separated the two sides, with Annan holding the upper hand with seven tries in their back pocket. However Edinburgh Harlequins managed to pull it back to come away with the win.
Full time score: Edinburgh Harlequins 14 tries, Annan Hornets 12 tries.
