Scotland Women’s captain, Donna Kennedy, will win her 100th cap for her country on Sunday (18 March) as she takes the field against France for the final game of the 2007 RBS 6 Nations Championship. Kennedy, the world’s most capped women’s rugby player, whose cap total achievement has only been surpassed by five of the world’s most iconic male players – George Gregan (127 caps), Jason Leonard (114 caps), Phillipe Sella (111 caps), Fabien Pelous (119 caps) and David Campese (101 caps) will lead out an unchanged team from the one that faced Ireland last weekend at Meggetland. Speaking ahead of the game, Scotland Women head coach Lee Adamson said: This weekend will be a big test for our players as France continue to chase for the top spot. The squad has matured fantastically over the course of the tournament and we are looking forward to the summer and into next season when we will be working hard to become a more accomplished side. Commenting on Kennedy’s milestone accomplishment, Adamson added: Donna has been a great servant to Scottish Women’s rugby and we are all very proud to be a part of her landmark achievement this weekend.
