Edinburgh Rugby number 8 Stuart McInally will join the Scotland touring squad for the three-test tour of Australasia having recovered from the hamstring strain which ruled him out of the club’s Heineken Cup semi-final.The 22-year-old will fly out from the UK later today to join the tourists in time for their arrival in Newcastle, New South Wales on Saturday ahead of Tuesday’s Test match against the Wallabies.Scotland head coach Andy Robinson explained: Weve called up Stuart [McInally] as a precaution given a hand injury that John Barclay sustained in training yesterday.John should be available for selection for the Test but we felt it better to ensure we have sufficient back-row options. An ever-present age-grade internationalist of some repute, McInally has captained Scotland at U17, U18, U19 and U20, and showcased his dynamic running and ball carrying with the Scotland 7s team on the HSBC Sevens World Series.During the 2011 Rugby World Cup McInally was one of several young players at the club to impress when the opportunity knocked, signing a two-year contract extension with the club until 2014 after scoring a decisive try in the club’s European win over London Irish at the Medejski Stadium.McInally continued a successful season with selection for Scotland A and formed part of the dominant forward unit that laid the platform for the 35-0 win over England Saxons at Netherdale.Meanwhile, Alex Dunbar, the 22-year-old Glasgow Warriors centre who ended the season so strongly, will join up with the party in Sydney tomorrow.Dunbar has been visiting family in Tasmania, therefore is already acclimatised to Australian conditions.Dunbar,_a product of Scotland under-20 and Scotland 7s, played his club rugby for Annan and Selkirk and, alongside Nick De Luca, becomes the second Lockerbie Academy former pupil to join the tour squad. The inclusion of McInally and Dunbar means there are seven uncapped players in the now 30-man national squad, with McInally joining fellow Edinburgh Rugby players Tim Visser and Tom Brown and uncapped Glasgow Warriors trio Ryan Grant, Robert Harley and Tom Ryder for the Test matches against Australia, Fiji and Samoa.Robinson added: Alex will meet up with the squad tomorrow._Weve gone for him as we are still liaising with the IRB, French Federation and Castres to have Max Evans join us as soon as possible.Castres are involved in the Top 14 semi-finals this weekend with the IRB’s June Test window, which is covered off in their international player release regulations, beginning next weekend.
