With just one week to go until the inaugural Emirates Airline Glasgow 7s, Miss Scotland, Jennifer Reoch, has teamed up with the national sevens squad to issue a rallying cry to supporters.   A native of Glasgow, 22 year old Jennifer, is throwing her support behind the Scotland 7s team as they prepare to take on the best in the world at Scotstoun Stadium next weekend (May 5 and 6). Fewer than five thousand tickets for each day now remain for the feast of international sevens rugby and fans are being urged to get their tickets in advance of the weekend to avoid missing out. Jennifer said:  “I’ve already got my tickets for the weekend, it’s going to be brilliant.  The whole of Scotland needs to get behind the boys and give them a real home advantage for their homecoming tournament. “It’s fantastic an event of this size is coming to Glasgow and with 30 thousand people over the weekend, we can show the world how to put on a party.” To make it easier for people to get to Scotstoun, Scottish Rugby has announced that anyone going to the stadium can use the free shuttle service, even if they are yet to pick up their tickets for the event. The free shuttle service will run from 8am through the day from Buchanan Street Bus Station and the Partick Interchange. People are being urged to get to Scotstoun early to create a buzz in the stadium ahead of Scotland 7s first game, against Wales, at 1158 on Saturday, May 5. They’ll also take on South Africa and Russia in their group, Pool B, on the first day of competition. The now infamous traffic cone hats, which are creating something of a social media buzz, will be handed out as gifts for the early arrivals along with special pop-up cowboy hats. Scotland 7s captain Colin Gregor said: “We travel around the world and play in some great venues but it will be something special to be playing in Glasgow in front of a noisy crowd. It’s fantastic to hear that tickets are selling so well but it would be even better to make it a sell-out. “Scotstoun has been turned into a fantastic arena and I can’t wait for the supporters to see how Scotstoun has been transformed. We’re raring to get stuck in next Saturday. Glasgow Warriors fans have dubbed day one of the tournament as Super Saturday, as they prepare for their crunch clash with Connacht at Firhill on the Saturday evening.  A special joint ticket offer is in place covering the Emirates Airline Glasgow 7s and the Connact game, with buses also running to Firhill from Scotstoun Stadium for just£2.
