New Recruit Called Up To Scotland 7s Squad

Liam Draycott, a 23-year-old full-back/wing who joined Currie this season, will fly out with the Scotland 7s squad to Australia tonight as they prepare for the first leg of the HSBC 7s World Series.Draycott, South Africa-born but who qualifies for Scotland through his Edinburgh born father Simon, becomes the 12th and final member of the squad for the Gold Coast sevens which will take place in Queensland on 13 and 14 October.Scotland 7s head coach and programme manager Phil Greening said: “Liam has put his hand up in training from the wider squad.  He has met all our standards and has looked good in training.I also saw him on the sevens circuit over the summer and he deserves this chance.Draycott told www.scottishrugby.org: “I’m really thrilled.
