New Series: Powering Conversation with SP Energy Networks
28 Oct 2020Scottish Rugby has today launched a new content series, in partnership with SP Energy Networks.
Scottish Rugby has today launched a new content series, in partnership with SP Energy Networks.
Powering Conversation with SP Energy Networks will feature inspiring women from the world of rugby and beyond. Hosted by Scotland captain Rachel Malcolm, the series will reach outside the typical discussion on women’s sport and provide more of an insight into the journeys and lives of the guests.
The content will also feature interactive questions from fans, Junior Supporter Club members and previous guests.
The first guest on the series is Scotland stalwart, Jade Konkel, who was the SP Energy Networks Player of the Match in Scotland’s game against France on Sunday. Jade reflects on her pathway into the national team, having been Scotland’s first contracted female player. From starting out at her local club to inspiring many with her performances in the national team and in the English Premiership, learn more about Jade in the first episode of Powering Conversation with SP Energy Networks available now on scottishrugby.org.
Rachel Malcolm said: “I’m very excited about the launch of this new series in partnership with SP Energy Networks. There are so many incredible stories within women’s rugby and sport, and it’s great to have a series where we can showcase and champion these role models.
“It’s so important that we have a platform where sportswomen can share their journeys in the hope that we can try and inspire young girls to reach their potential.
Rachel Malcolm
“We have loads of stories within our own squad, in terms of how people got into playing rugby and some of the stuff they’ve had to go through to get where they are today.”
Look out for the second episode at the end of November on scottishrugby.org, with Scotland’s most capped player, Donna Kennedy.
