Scotland squad update
28 Oct 2013
Two backs, Tim Visser and Duncan Taylor, will take no part in the three-day Scotland training camp which got underway in Glasgow this morning. The camp is preparation for next month’s viagogo Autumn Tests when Scotland face Japan (9 November), South Africa (17 November) and Australia (23 November) all at Murrayfield. Tickets for all three games are on sale now via www.scottishrugby.orgVisser (Edinburgh Rugby) sustained a leg injury in his club’s RaboDirect PRO12 victory over Treviso on Friday. He will undergo an MRI scan at SPIRE Murrayfield Hospital tonight and is in the care of the Edinburgh Rugby medical team and consultant John McKinley.Taylor (Saracens) suffered abdomen and shoulder damage in his club’s match against Northampton Saints at the weekend and is being treated by the Saracens’ medics.Back-row forward Blair Cowan (London Irish) and hooker Scott Lawson (Newcastle Falcons) will sit out any contact training today as they played in the match at Kingston Park yesterday.A number of other players will also take a limited part in training as a consequence of ‘bumps and bruises’.
