Scotland supporters are being encouraged to buy their tickets today for tomorrow’s RBS 6 Nations Championship clash with Italy at Murrayfield. Demand for tickets is high and currently the full range of ticket prices is available though lower priced tickets are selling fast. The tickets are priced at £10, £15 and £20 for students and under-18s and at £20, £30 and £40 for adults. They can be bought in person from the Scottish Rugby Ticket Centre, Roseburn Street; through our credit card hotline on 0131 346 5100 or via our website www.scottishrugby.org. The Ticket Centre and hotline are open today from 9am-7pm. Both re-open tomorrow at 9am. There will be cash turnstiles tomorrow, accessed from Roseburn Crescent, where there will also be a mobile ticket unit. The Ticket Centre, accessed through Gate A, off Roseburn Street, will also be open. Tickets at these outlets will be priced at £15 for children and students and £30 for adults. Some 49,400 tickets have been sold as of 4pm this afternoon for tomorrow’s match which will kick-off at 3pm. Meanwhile, Scottish Rugby is reminding supporters travelling from the north of the country to allow extra time for their journeys. Network Rail are undertaking engineering work from tomorrow morning through until Tuesday, which will result in the closure of the rail line from Aberdeen to Dundee. Trains will be replaced by buses between Aberdeen and Dundee, adding in some cases up to one hour to journey times. Supporters are being asked to check with National Rail inquiries on 0845 7 48 49 50 or via the First ScotRail website www.firstgroup.com/scotrail. Drivers travelling from the Stirling, Dunblane and Perthshire areas are also encouraged to allow extra time for their journeys tomorrow given roadworks taking place on the M9 at junction 9, Pirnhall roundabout this weekend. Scotland head coach Frank Hadden said: “From my own days travelling down by train from Dundee as a lad, the level of support the Scotland team get from the north of the country has been a massive constant. The players know that many supporters spend much of their day travelling to and returning from Murrayfield and it is very much appreciated.”
