Scotland Women U18 Programme 2021/22

The Scotland U18 programme is an individual performance development programme, that supports players to deliver their potential and progress into high-performance rugby environments. Nominations for the 2021/22 programme are now open.

Scottish Rugby launched the Scottish Futures U18 programme in 2018 and after 3 successful seasons, has now transitioned into the Scotland U18 programme.

With a focus on the physical demands, tactical decision making, technical skill, and positive behaviours at a relevant age and stage. Players deliver these core areas of performance development as a part of a team, through training camps and international game opportunities.

Is Scotland U18 for you?

Nominations are now open for female players born on or between 1st January 2004 – 31st December 2005. Significant experience isn’t required. However, we want players who show exceptional ability in at least two of the below key performance attributes:

  • Physical Demands of Rugby
  • Technical Skill
  • Tactical Game Decision Making
  • Positive Behaviours
  • Eligibility

    Girls born on or between 1st January 2004 – 31st December 2005 are eligible for nomination to the Scotland U18 Programme. This aligns with World Rugby and Rugby Europe age banding.

    Nominations

    Our online nomination process for 2021/22 season is now open. Please complete the online form and the consent form below. The closing date for nominations is Friday 17th December 2021.

    The form must be completed by a parent/guardian or coach for players under 18. For Scottish Qualified players living outside of Scotland, please submit evidence of your eligibility alongside your consent form.

    Once you have registered, please ensure your parent/guardian completes our player consent form below and return it to Mike Bruce, Team Manager by 17th December 2022 at [email protected]
