Scotland Women’s Six Nations Fixtures announced

12 Sep 2019

The Six Nations released the fixtures of the 2020 Women’s Championships today.

Scotland 2020 Women’s Six Nations campaign will feature two home matches at Scotstoun with the 2019 Champions England and top side France as the opponents.

It was recently announced that BBC ALBA will be covering all of Scotland Women’s home Six Nations matches as well as the Autumn Test match against Wales in November.

Scotland will travel to Dublin to play Ireland at Energia Park in their opening match of next year’s campaign. Energia Park holds good memories for Scotland Women following their momentous 12-15 victory away from home in 2018.

A week later Scotland welcome England back to Scotstoun, less than 24 hours after the men’s sides face each other to compete for the Calcutta Cup at BT Murrayfield. The current record attendance for a Scotland Women home fixture was when England travelled to Scotstoun in 2018 and over 3,200 spectators were in attendance.

The middle match of the championships will be against Italy in Lenano near Milan.

Scotland’s second and final home match will be against France at Scotstoun.

The last match of the Championships will be against Wales at Cardiff Arms Park. This will come four months after Scotland welcome Wales to Scotstoun as part of their Autumn Test series.

Scotland Women will be kicking off their season in a few weeks’ time with their first two test tour of South Africa, followed by two home Autumn Test matches against Wales and Japan.

Scotland Women will play Wales at Scotstoun on Sunday 17 November at 3.10pm, followed by Japan on Sunday 24 November at 2.00pm. Ticket information for Scotland Women’s Autumn Tests and Women’s Six Nations matches will be available in the next few weeks.
