Scotland will open the 2011 RBS 6 Nations Championship with an away match against France – the fourth time in six years that Les Bleus have been our first opponents. The full fixture list was revealed this lunchtime by the Six Nations Committee. On the back of the announcement Scottish Rugby is maintaining ticket prices at this year’s levels and reducing one price category for the visit of Italy for their three home matches in the 2011 Championship.  A week after the first salvoes are fired in Paris, Wales will be our visitors to Murrayfield and February’s schedule is complete when Ireland – who Scotland defeated in an epic performance in Dublin last month – also visit the home of Scottish Rugby on the penultimate day of the month. Scotland have their second away fixture of the tournament – and second Sunday fixture – when they travel to Twickenham in mid March and then conclude the championship against Italy at Murrayfield. In addition, for the match against Italy, adult tickets in the mid price category will be£10 cheaper at£40 £20 for the respective concession) and concessions will also be available to students as well as under-18s. A spokesman for Scottish Rugby said: “We know our supporters will appreciate the early confirmation of the fixture dates for next season and, in the current economic climate, we are committed to retaining affordability within our ticket prices, balanced, as ever, by our need to generate revenue from these fixtures to reinvest in rugby throughout Scotland. “We are proud that, unlike many other Unions, we offer concession prices to under-18s across all our price categories for tickets for Scotland international matches. “We also know that Sunday matches can present more of a logistical challenge for our supporters but in the last four years we have had a total of three Sunday fixtures so scheduling does tend to balance out over the years.” Scotland head coach Andy Robinson said: “We finished the 2010 championship with a win in Ireland and our aim will be to build on that and improve in the 2011 championship.”
