Scotland’s Playlist: Go To Girl

Over the last few months we've been on the search for Scotland’s next big thing on the music scene. It has been a tough 18 months for us all, but particularly the performing arts and music industry.
Scotland’s Playlist was launched in September to offer bands the opportunity to play on the North Stand stage in the Fan Village ahead of our Autumn Nations Series matches.
As well as getting the chance to play in front of thousands of Scotland supporters, the music from each band will also get played on our social content which goes out on our Digital channels around each match.
This Saturday before the Japan game, we’ll be welcoming Go To Girl to BT Murrayfield.
Offering up tropical pop vibes with their catchy hooks and rhythmic guitars, Go To Girl are a four-piece indie band from central Scotland.
Since the release of their first single ‘Shake’ in 2019 the band have gone from strength to strength releasing two further singles, ‘Rush’ and ‘Honesty’, playing the legendary King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut and amassing over 100,000 streams across Spotify and Apple Music.
Recently they were invited by Fender to record their next single in the iconic Chamber Studios in Edinburgh.
Formed in 2018, singer Amy Rayner enlisted the backing of guitarist Mike Scott and bassist Angus Buchan with drummer Sam Waller joining the band post-pandemic.
Angus and Mike met as kids through playing rugby for Edinburgh side Boroughmuir and spent many years attending Scotland games at BT Murrayfield, so playing this gig is particularly exciting for them.
