Scottish Rugby has extended its partnership with G4S, the national security company, which is also strengthening its ties to the sport through a new association with a leading youth initiative.    In a new three-year deal G4S continues as Official Stewarding Partner to Scottish Rugby and will provide match-day security and stewarding for all Edinburgh and international matches at BT Murrayfield and at Scotstoun for Glasgow Warriors.   G4S will also be forging close links to Game On, which is funded by rugby charity Wooden Spoon and supported by Scottish Rugby and helps young people, aged 16-19, develop life skills through the values of rugby.   Since 2013 the Game On scheme, has worked with over 40 young people and seen many succeed in securing employment, modern apprenticeships, college courses and recruitment to the armed services.   The 12-week programme supports young people in developing positive lifestyles, through education, healthy lifestyles advice, increasing self-esteem and preparation for employment.   Dominic McKay, Scottish Rugby’s Director of Commercial Operations, Public Affairs and Communications said:We are very pleased G4S have extended their relationship with Scottish Rugby. We take great pride in providing a positive and memorable match-day experience for our fans and the G4S staff play a big part in helping us achieve that. It is especially pleasing they will be getting involved in our Game On rugby project, as there are some clear synergies for both G4S and the young people themselves to benefit from.”   Managing Director, G4S Events Eric Alexander commented:We’re very proud to be extending our partnership with Scottish Rugby and the role we play in helping thousands of fans to enjoy these great sporting events. A focus on customer service, innovation and a strong partnership approach with Scottish Rugby help us to deliver the best experience for fans, which is what it is all about.”  Game On is a great way for us to use our skills and network to help provide more career and development opportunities for young people, and we’re delighted to be part of it.”    Mark Coull, Edinburgh Rugby’s Game On Project Development Officer said: Having G4S on board with Game On is a huge step forward for the programme. It will further enhance the training opportunities we provide for the participants to help their progression into employment. We have helped over 50 young people complete the course in just two years of operating, with more due to start soon. This partnership will give them a new opportunity to enhance their CV’s and learn new skills, some may even be working at a Guinness Pro12 or international game for G4S in the not too distant future. “
