Scottish Rugby supplement food-based strategies with ‘Myprotein’ partnership

15 Nov 2018

Scottish Rugby today welcomed the news that Myprotein has been appointed official performance nutrition partner.

The three-year deal will see the sports nutrition expert supply performance products for the senior and age-grade representative Scotland teams.

Scottish Rugby Lead Nutritionist, Ed Tooley, said: “We’re really excited to partner with Myprotein as our performance supplement supplier.

“Their products will integrate nicely with our food-based nutritional strategies to support the preparation and recovery of our national teams at international matches and training camps.

“Their innovation and quality shows across the range and, importantly for our athletes, includes Informed Sports-assured products, which have been third party batch tested, minimising risk of inadvertent doping.

“This aligns well with our ‘Keep Sport Clean’ anti-doping message across Scottish Rugby.”

Myprotein prides itself on innovative and safe products for the sports industry and has a keen focus on understanding how good nutrition and supplementation can elevate sporting performance.

Myprotein Partnerships Manager, Jérome Guisset, said: “We’re excited to be working hand-in-hand with Scottish Rugby, enabling us to support one of the finest teams in world rugby, every step of the way.

“In preparation for prestigious tournaments like the Six Nations and Rugby World Cup 2019, we’re passionate about fuelling the team to reach the physical peak of their game, with the help of our world-class sports supplements.”

Scottish Rugby’s Head of Marketing and Sponsorship, Toni Blackhurst added: “We’re delighted to add Myprotein to our growing family of sponsors and partners and look forward to working with them in the seasons ahead.”

Founded in 2004, Myprotein operates in over 70 countries through a diverse and dedicated team of staff, athletes, and active influencers.
